Valentine Armouries

Valentine Armouries created a number of the pieces of armor and hisorical weaponry used in outlander includng various armor piecees, shields, swords and more. Some of the items - Like Wulfric's armor - were prototyped first. The prototype consisted of 1400 polished aluminum 22ga. plates that were machine-cut, and hand-set onto leather. The prototype alone took about 30 shop hours to put together. The actual screen worn costume was brass and aged. In comparison, Rothgar's armour worn by John Hurt , has about 400 hand-cut, and hand-set plates onto leather and took at least 60 shop hours to make from scratch, plus aging.
